| Tiger tattoo design |
Question:
I saw in some book of Central or possibly
South American tribal tattoo designs in my friend's house. The one I really liked was called
"Tigers Eyes and Ears" and looked sort of like this: (Except the
tribe did not use ascii art of course). Also, the design was a bit more
fluid, the spiral of the eyes peaking out to the tips of the ears, and
curving under again. Also, for the "tigerness" of it, instead of a
solid line, the spiral was broken into chunks that looked like stripes.
Can anyone help me find out more about this? Either a clue as to what
cultures to research, or maybe you've seen a picture of this too?
I'd like it done. I'm still debating placement, probably hip, but I'm
open to suggestions. Do you think my description is good enough that if I
went to a tattoo artist they'd be able to get the right design? (I'm in
Baltimore, Maryland, if it helps).
Answer: -With a book & your ideas, an artist should be able to draw it on
paper & transfer it onto you. When I got my firefighting tigger, I just
brought a couple of my kids' Winnie-the-Pooh books. We talked, she drew, for
about 3 hrs. It took her 1 hr to put him on my arm.
I don't know Baltimore, maybe someone else can recommend a good artist.
-Should have clarified...ex friend of a friend of a friend. No idea where
he is now, and I just finally remembered his first name: Paul. I saw this
picture about 8 years ago. (if I still want it after that long, i MUST
want to wear it.
