| where to get a tattoo in sydney + question of colour? |
Question:
I finally have the money to get my tattoo done! hehe.. now it's just a
matter of finalising the exact design.. i'm pissed that the style I like
(tribalesque blackwork) is so damn trendy right now, i've been drawing that
since I was 12 ppl, get in line!
It's like wanting to get a kanji character superimposed on a tribal dolphin,
as the boundary for a yin-yang symbol, with the circle in celtic knotwork
(based on a real example btw)..
but anyway, my rose is beautiful, and soon it'll be on the flesh (even
if there are a thousand similar, at least it's not flash)
so the reason i'm bugging you lot now is 'cause I have a question (as the
title indicates) - Instead of just plain black, I was thinking of texturing
the rose with slightly lighter rusty reddish colouring, to give it some
depth - so i'm wondering if that kind of shading in the dark edge of the
hues is possible? I don't want red, just reddish black..
i've seen some amazing colourwork online, but compression + computer screen
= unreliability and the only ppl with tats I know IRL have rather dodgy and
uninspired stuff.. and the main question is: Can anyone recommend anywhere to get a tattoo in sydney,
australia?
Answer: - I can't suggest any shop in Sydney, but if, by chance, you might find yourself
in Melbourne anytime soon I suggest going to see Claudia at Tattoo Magic. She
did some sparrows on my back that turned out amazing. Every other tattoo artist
that has ever seen them has complimented me on them...
- i'm getting this:

with the kanji for "sheep" in the sun.
