Question:
anybody know who these people are? selling on e-bay "professional tattoo
kit-everything you need"
Answer: - Never heard of 'em. What, i'm wondering, is the 'RAB' mind
on the selling of 'piercing' and 'tattooing' kits? I'm not
sure if i really support EBay on this... What does RAB
think? There ARE things EBay won't sell, i'm going to go
look at that list and see what they won't sell, but i'm
wondering...
- well there have always been whores in the supply side. One particular co comes
to mind that advertised in the trades for a 489 starter kit.
very little, they warn about copyright stuff, but the only two thing that I
KNOW they wont sell is Hitler memorabilia and guns. They used to sell a lot of
Hitler stuff but the German government bitched
- I think selling piercing and tattooing kits is probably a bad idea, if
yer goal is to support the art(s), in general. HOWEVER - It should be
"allowed." If I want to buy a $200 tattoo kit and scar myself and my
friends for life, that's my fucking right to do so, goddamnit. Not to
sound like Mike-fucking-Trainer, but this is a slippery slope. Where are
you going to draw the line? I believe I should be able to buy a scalpel,
a piercing needle, or a tattoo machine if I damn well please.
- I absolutely agree that private individuals have a right to buy supplies of
all sorts to work on themselves and their close partners -- control over
ones own body should be a fundamental right... Although I feel that the
vendor has some responsibility to inform them about the issues involved
with using these supplies irresponsibly.
What I have a *BIG* problem with is piercing and tattoo kits that are
MARKETED as a quick-start-your-own-business kits, encouraging frighteningly
underqualified artists to permeate the industry. I believe that companies
who do that are culpable in the misactions of their customers and should be
held responsible for the horrible end products...
