| Tattoo Studio Bradford? |
Question:
I'm newish to Bradford (1st Yr Student), and I am looking to get a tattoo on
my left upper arm. However being even newer to tattoos (I have none!) I am
in a world unknown and a little daunting to me. I have had an eyebrow
piercing so I'm not going to ask about the pain!
I would like to know of any good, recommended tattoo places in Bradford.
Again, as I'm new to this, I'm not sure what I should be looking for when I
go to the tattoo shop. Cleanliness, professionalism, etc.
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: - check out the faq on tattooing (part 3). look under the sub-section about
infections... it tells you what to look for in a shop. you can link to the
faqs from www.rabbithole.org
- As someone who recently spent a total of 5 hours under the needle, I can
honestly say it hurts like a bastard, but who cares when the end result is
so good?
Er those two things are good, yeah. Don't go in on the spur of the moment
and get tattooed there and then. Go in, sound out the artists (not
literally, smut-merchants) and look at their portfolios! Check out the work
they have already done. Talk to other people in the shop and see how they
get on with the artists.
Rec.arts.bodyart may not be able to help with studio recommendations, but
uk.people.bodyart might. In any case, you might want to check out this:
http://www.ukbodyart.org/list/yorks.htm or http://www.tattoostudioguide.com/
There's nothing specific to Bradford on the first site, but a nearby studio
that's been recommended might be better than Bradford one which hasn't been.
If you do find a good (or bad) Bradford Studio it would be appreciated if
you would forward the details so others can see if it's worth going there or
not.
Or you can search the web or take a look at the ads in Skin Deep magazine.
For tattoo/tattooist specific stuff, there are these things called FAQ's
which you can read and will answer most if not all your questions. Use
google to find the rec.arts.bodyart tattoo faq.
