Can anyone highly recommend a tattoo shop in the Los Angeles area that has great expertise in tribal art tattoos. I'm in the market for one. All the things are various, help me to

- I gotta recommend Trevor Marshall... (his add is in the mags too... Oceanic Tattoo) of course it all depends on the exact style of tribal you're looking for... - I'd second Tatu Scotty's recommendation of Black Wave. Another good place is Zulu Tattoo on La Cienega, just a block or so north of Beverly. Roni is very nice and does good work. - Leo Zulueta. His address is in the usual magazines. - Nothing against Trevor or Leo - I am a fan of both their though I have met neither. However, the question of style raises a point relevant to reccomendations... Are you looking for someone to design the tattoo or to do a design you have? If the person need only be competent then many people will qualify as being able to do the large solid black areas typical of tribal (but much more demanding than many realize) but if you need it designed then the field narrows and splits into specific styles. If you have a design already chosen then you can get it done by someone less famous and thus more readily available than Trevor or Leo, but if you want a design to be created you may need their or someone else's specific talents.
