| Tattoos on women... |
Question:
I got bitched at recently, about how horrible a woman looks if they are
pierced and have a lot of tattoos. I have a lot of piercings and plan on
getting a few tattoos i just wondered if anyone else got that kinda
treatment? Do all men feel that way? I'm sure some mustn't but is it only a select few
that don't? I always felt that you attracted the people that were sorta like you, ie
people with tattoos and piercings themselves therefore they wouldn't
mind...??
Answer: - I don't attract anyone, but if I did settle down with that special
somebody I would want to tattoo him or her a lot.
I personally find tattooing very attractive. But I do know some men who have
got very odd when going out with women who are more heavilly tattooed than
they are. I guess it's some kind of testosterone thing.
The most attractive thing about heavilly tattooed people, for me, is that they
are willing to do it, willing to set themselves outside to a degree.
Don't get me onto the subject of the girl in "Once Were Warriors" with the lip
and chin moko. I could feint from sheer joy if I ever met someone with that
most amazing of tattoos!
- Not all men feel that way, but there will always be those hypocrite men who
think it's ok for them to be tattooed but not women.
I think a lot of people have preconceptions about tattoos, they can't
possibly be works of art can they? I think if the tattoo is 'good', and
fits the body well then how can it be horrible? If my mum can say she likes
my back tattoo, then there's hope for everyone!
- I certainly find it a very attractive feature on women.
Particularly where the women has really "gone-to town" with
the artist. The incidental rose, heart or swallow is nothing.
I have seen dragons snaking around a womens body from calf to
shoulder; forests with dancing nymphs, fairies and butterflies
sleepy lion cubs, and a particularly nice set of angelic wings
on the back of pinkminx (on the uk.bodyart.org profiles pages).
Maybe I find it attractive to see "feminine" tattoos on women,
and celtic or tribal stuff is the more masculine. Either way
a tattoo is a very personal thing, a cover for the book that is
you. You may well be judged by that cover, so make it the very
best cover you can afford, because you will live with it for the
rest of your life.
- I as a bloke (well at least I was last time I looked ) have absolutley no
problem with women being tattooed either a little or a lot. If thats what
she wants then I'm happy regardless of what "society" may say - be it at a
rock concert, tattoo convention or at a posh restaurant.
To be honest I find that women wanting to be different in such a way are a
damn sight more interesting/friendly than your manufactured stereotypical
barbie dolls.
