| Tattoo artists who travel? |
Question:
I have just 3 tattoos, and haven't wanted another for awhile. I've
become disabled from a car accident, can't travel, and there are no
artists anywhere near me. I live in New York, on eastern Long Island.
Everyone on LI seems to use the same tattoo shop (has multiple
locations) but no one seems to recall their artists' names!
I'm limited in my ability to spend time searching the net, and was
wondering if anyone has heard of any such thing -- a tattoo artist who
makes "house calls." Also, of course, the person's work (and hygiene)
are very important to me.
Answer:
are you able to get to a tattoo convention? it's not a house
call, but it's not a plane ride away. new york has several throughout
the year.
if you're completely housebound for some reason other than house
arrest, i'd recommend you search portfolios online (starting with the
url above) & give each artist a call. do not be stingy with your money.
you may be able to find one willing to come to you if you're not a
complete needy asshole about it.
