| Swallow on the hand tattoo? |
Question:
I've seen many criminal types with a small swallow/sparrow tattooed on
either hand. Does anyone can explain to me what is mean?
Answer:
- the swallow tattoo is a sailors tattoo ...its meaning is "to
return home" ...just like swallows do each year
- DOn't know for sure.. but heres a theory...
because Birds are Free? as in.. to go where ever they want?
- I was asking James at Staircase Tattoo about the swallow. He says it dates
back to sailing around the Cape.
