| Sun, Stars, Moon Tattoo help |
Question:
I am interested in getting a Sun, Moon, and Stars style tattoo on my aim
(either a band or just a regular tattoo). anyone can give me some
ideas where I should look for an image to use for the tattoo?
Answer: -Get thee to a good bookstore and look for the "clip-art" books. You
will find drawings of all sorts of things which you can use a basis
for what you want. Talk to a couple of artists about your ideas, they
usually have some sources, also.
-These have been depicted in just about every style imaginable. Did you
mean a realistic style, stylized, anthropomorphized...?
i've always been fond of the Proctor and Gamble Moon myself.
-a friend of mine got a tattoo of the P&G logo a year or two
ago. i work in the health and beauty care section of grocery store,
so i was the one who had to find the picture for him. the only place
i found a reasonably-sized logo was on a cardboard box.
when i saw the tatt i was a little bit disappointed. either he
got it too small to get good detail or the artist wasn't the best at
that kind of work, cos some of the stars aren't as nice and the whole
thing looked slightly wobbly. i think he's gotten it touched up since then.
but i've always liked that style and i'm glad P&G never changed their logo,
satan-sniffing fundies aside.
