I like tattoo, here is my problem: I wanted to expand on the wallpaper concept, I was wondering what
tattoos people out there have? Or wish they had?
Answer:
I currently have three tattoos, with two of which
I'm very pleased; the third needs a little more work.
On the front of my left shoulder, there is a morning glory vine, with
three flowers: one purple-blue, slightly over-blown (full and an edge
turned under), one almost-not-quite open all the way, and one bud still
twisted up tightly (that one's gorgeous! good shading from
pink-to-purple). The green vine is also quite lovely.
On the front of my right thigh I have a small green hummingbird with a
ruby throat. This tattoo cries out for a spray of fuschias to go
with--soon.
Earlier this month I got the one I've been wanting for awhile. On the
back of my right shoulderblade, there is now a Celtic cross (black
outline, shaded to look like actual stone) with a green vine twined around
and through the circle part of the cross, green leaves on it and two tiny
red buds. I'm VERY pleased with how this turned out, with one exception:
the green vine is a tad yellower in shade than I wanted--the morning glory
vine is a tinge bluer, which I prefer. I'll see how it heals and whether
it needs alteration then. All of my tattoos are visible when I am in my bathing
suit (though the strap goes over part of the morning glory vine); but they are
covered by ordinary clothing (I work in an office). However, I can no longer wear
thin or white shirts/blouses to work, as the artwork is visible through
light clothing. (Being decidedly fluffy, I never wear sleeveless shirts
anyway--maybe it's time to think about one on the arms? I'm feeling a
little tattoo-heavy above the waist, though--we'll see.)
