| Ideas for a dragon tattoo? |
Question:
I am looking for pictures for a new tattoo that I want to be a dragon.
I want something small, not necessary in color because I want a tat in
black and gray. Any ideas or does anyone have pictures they could send
me?
Answer: - Your design should come from within you. Forever is a long time to wear
something you're not sure of from the beginning.
- If you have trouble designing your own, or are not very artistic, go to a book
store or library and browse the fantasy section to get some ideas for body
types and poses. Then take your general idea to a good skin artist. They
should be able (and willing) to work on your design with you, as long as you
get them to do the final work for you.
- Find a book of Roger Dean art....he does some glorious dragons, but
very colorful, generally. If you can find any Susan Seddon Boulet
dragons, they are also lovely, but might not transfer to tattoo well....
- If you haven't already, check out rec.arts.bodyart. They're quite good ther about
recommending artists and answering questions. But try to get their FAQ first.
They're touchy about answering questions already discussed in the FAQ.
- That's the guy! He showed me the book that had pictures of him working on
the "Cat man".
Unfortunately, I'm going to be leaving for California early Saturday
morning, so I'm not sure if I'll get your info in time... But thanks for
looking! I'll try to access this group using Dejanews from my parents
house, though... I'm pretty sure that Ace is the place, and I just found
www.acetattoo.com (y'know, cause it's such an obscure reference to the name
of their business...). But I figured that the cat tattoo's would be
featured somewhere on the page... I can't get their email function on their
website to work.
