| Ankh tattoo, (should I)? |
Question:
I'm seriously considering getting an ankh tattoo on my upper
arm/lower shoulder. Has any of you good people had any experience with this;
either got one yourself or know someone who got one?
It will be my first tat, (I know it's the egyptian symbol for eternal(?)
life) but it's not that I'm very nervous
about the pain and stuff (just a bit!) - I would just like to hear about
someone else's knowledge on the matter. Or if you know more than me about
what the sign stands for.
Answer: -Draw one on your arm with a marker and leave it there for a couple of
weeks. If you still like the idea, then start thinking about making it
*really* permanent.
Umm.. Other than that, well, scales don't tatoo very well.
-It shows up in a lot of places, and, like many myth-type things, has a
lot of meanings, mostly related. You may not like all of them. You may
want to look into it a bit closer.
Alternatively, add something to it to make it Ultima-ish... I don't know
what offhand, but that's what Dragons are for, right?
-Umm, I don't think an ankh tattoo is a very good idea. As you all should know,
the ankh originated in ancient egypt as the sign of some god of femininity.
People could kinda get the wrong idea about you. From what I've heard, it would
be considered "just not right" to do something like that.

A tattoo with "Mother" crossed out and "Ultima over it could be cool.
