Question:
My girlfriend and i are headed to seattle.. anyone have a recommendation for an
artist there.. I prefer black fineline art..
Answer: - The last time i looked in the phone book there were 82 tattoo shops in
the Greater Seattle Area. Of those 82 shops, I like to suggest two
Greenlake Tattoo (206) 706-0333, the artists I personally have
receieved work from are Richard (owner) and Gilber Jumping Eagle who is
working on my right arm. Majenta who also works there gets my HIGEST
recomendation, she's awsome - I suggest going up to the shop, talk to
the artists, and work with the personality that suites you best.
The other shop (was) Seattle Tattoo Emporium. Due to temporary
relocation, the artists are in residenca at another shop, I can't tell
you the name but I can give you coordinates and landmarks to find it on
your own.
It's on Pike and 11th, it's bellow street level, nestled
between The Wild Rose and Delicious Music (rekkid sto).
All of the people in this shop have my vote of confidence.
There are, no doubt a kabillion other great artists in town - but these
are the two shops I frequent and trust.
-I have to second Greenlake tattoo. I just finished having my forearm piece done by
Majenta there. Her style is definite old school bright colors and thick ass lines.
Gilbert is a better choice for blackwork there.
Probably the best choice though for black and grey is Charlie Ellis at
Top Tattoo
19918 Aurora Ave N
Shoreline Wa
206 533 TOPS
It is just up the road from Greenlake and Charlie pushes some very righteous black
n grey.
