| convince me NOT to get ANOTHER scorpion tattoo! |
Question:
As some of you may remember (and AjD has seen for himself), I got a tattoo
about 20 months ago. It's a blackwork scorpion surrounded by curvy
calligraphic lines, on my left shoulder.
I designs for my next tat, which will be on the outside of
my left calf. So far the leading contender is a design featuring three
scorpions curling in different directions, surrounded by curvy calligraphic
lines.
Lately I've been drawing flash art for a woman named Mary Xmas, who opened
a tattoo place a few months ago (Skin and Bones, above the Taco Bell
on South U. here in Ann Arbor). She's not quite as experienced as Jo-D Bones
or Suzanne, the other two tattoo artists in the area, but she wants to trade
ink for flash art, thereby saving me $250 or so. Anyway, the design should be simple
So anyway, I like my current design, but I have this nagging feeling I'm
going to wind up with my body covered with blackwork scorpions in another
several years.
Answer: - i always intended to do this but since i live in mass. and
they're illegal here [ oh, perish the theought of little
old me doing something *illegal*. i don't even date 17 year olds.]
i will pass it on to you. [ you mat just think it is lame
enough to do.].
i always wanted to get a tat of the rolling stones lips on me ass,
so i could tell people to 'kuss my ass' and then moon them. it would
be good but you may consider it lame.
- Au contraire, cheyvaroonie. That's YOU, man. That tattoo would neatly
encapsulate all the better aspects of your personality in one indelible
image. Do it.
By the way, it's not illegal to HAVE tattoos in Massachusetts, it's only
illegal to GIVE people tattoos. Hop in your car (for some reason, I
imagine a rusted out AMC Pacer or Yugo) and motor on down to Providence.
Remember, the BEST tattoo parlors always have names like Butcher Bob's
or Shaky Jake's.
