Question:
I'm in San Diego for the next month and just happen to have a tattoo design
Ive been contemplating for a few years with me. I'd like to know the names of
a few good shops that I should check out, as well as the names of any to avoid.
I know there is a convention here on the 19 and 20th I think it is, would I be
able to/should I consider trying to get it done there? I would think that
might be a good place to get it done, I assume that the artists there will be
good ones. Is this a safe way?
Answer:
- Avalon I and Avalon II are both good. I've seen some really nice work
come out of Streamline.
Personally, unless you know which artists are going to be at Steel &
Skin, and can make appointments ahead of time, I'd go ahead and get some
ink from Fip Buchanon at Avalon II or Patty Kelley at Avalon I.
- I think Inkspot and Avalon are the best places. I don't know the address so i'd
look it up in the phone book. Or you could wait for the show at the convention
center later on this month.
