| Tattoo shops in Tampa, Florida |
Question:
I will go to Tampa next week with some friends to see Pink Floyd, and
I wanna go get my first tattoo! But it all
depends on if I find a decent shop while down there, can anyone show me
some shops in Tampa that do decent tattoo work?
Answer: - I got my tat in South Miami Beach a couple months ago. That
particular shop is always busy, so the 'law' appears to be
completely unenforced.
- I don't think this is true considering the fact that my second and third
tattooes were both done in orlando. The first was done at "Sailor Bobs",
and the second at "Ancient Art Tattoo". But then again, it's been over
4 years since I was there, so the laws could have changed.
- I would cancel out on any tattoo sessions to catch a Floyd
concert! But then, aren't they missing Waters these days? oh well...
- according to the FAQ, Tattooing is illegal in Florida, except for one shop
in orlando. So I would expect you're outta luck unless you go with someone
working out of their home on the sly...
- Is this correct? I got my first tattoo at Big Jeff's in Lantana. It is
no longer there as far as I know, but his partner Whitey has a shop in
West Palm Beach that was profiled in a magazine a few months ago. Several
friends from Florida have also gone to places in Miami. If it is illeagal, it
must not be strictly enforced in all areas.
