| Black Tribal tattoos |
Question:
Im in my last few months before my tattoo. BUT I cant seam to find the
right design for it and I was wondering if anyone here would be able to try
and draw it for me. What I plan on getting done is: a pair of black 'tribal'
crow wings, from shoulder/blades to lower back/upper buttox. Similar to what
'Sara' had done in red in "The Crow: City of Angels" only a bit thicker and
in black, and more original. If ANYBODY can help, or knows anyone that can,
please drop me a line.
Answer: - Perhaps you could start by finding a tattoo artist whose work you like.
Then, you could take a picture of the other tattoo to that artist and explain
how you want your tattoo to be different, etc. Then, perhaps you will be
asked to pay a deposit and the artist will work to create a design for you.
Then you can go and have it inked.
That's the polite version. It's not the best idea in the world to come into
this newsgroup and ask for someone to draw your tattoo. Unless you're
willing to pay. And make that known in advance.
- translation: "i want this exact tattoo from a movie but i know
it's wrong to steal someone's idea so if i make it black then i'm being
original & different & therefore have no guilt so if someone can find me
a picture of sara's tattoo & color it black that'd be great thanks. email
me."
sorry, tickets for wing-theme backpieces sold out in late '90 &
there won't be a reissue for another eighty years. your best bet is to
find a different design.
- I have sad news for you: if you can't seem to find the right design,
you are *not* in your last few . First things
first, me boy!
Solid black is very difficult to lay in well. Many tattoists who are
otherwise fine have not fully mastered the technique, and their solid
black work shows serious dropouts. Others step on the pedal too hard
and cause scarring in their efforts to get a good solid black. Both of
these are double-plus-ungood results.
Someone else suggested that you find a tattooist you like and have
him(her) draw up a design for you. Let me add: before committing
yourself (and that includes asking for the drawing to be done), find
out how well the artist's blackwork turns out. Hang around the studio
and check out the work on the artist's existing clients. Watch for
faded areas in the middle of the black sections.
