I'm wondering what percentage of the women who get a tattoo on their
lower back in the middle do it primarily for a lover. My guess is at least
50%. Does anyone have real statistics on this?

My girlfriend has a tattoo there, but she didn't get it for me. If it were
for me it would be ON me...capish?
Since I've answered your questions with more questions my answer to your
question is no, but not in the form of a question, do you follow?
- I don't know anyone who has a lower back tattoo for anyone else. I only
know one person who got a tattoo for their lover, they were male, and they
regretted it.
Why would anyone care? I doubt that any person or persons concerned with
this are in a position to take data and so any statistics you find are
likely to be guesswork. Maybe one of the tattoo artists on here can talk
about personal experiences with clients.
For the record, I have a lower back tattoo, and I got it for myself. My
"lover" like it.

So 50% of women who get tattooed on their lower backs are mindless droids
who can be coerced into doing anything by some Svengali-like lover?
From my own *observation*, since my tattoo artist works next to a primarily
all-flash shop near NH beaches in the summer, and from speaking with a few
as they've selected their butterfly or fairy or tiny tribal sun off the
wall: they choose to have tattoos on their lower backs because they think
the location is "sexy". Same as for ankle tattoos, and tattoos around their
bellybuttons.
Primarily for *a* lover, ie the guy persuaded them? Hardly.
And for those who put more thought into it than "Gee, it's cloudy out
today - let's go get tattooed instead! *giggle*", I'd be willing to bet most
of them had reasons for it which had absolutely nothing to do with being so
totally dependant on their lover's sexual prowess they'd be willing to do
something they wouldn't otherwise consider.

WHO WOULD KEEP STATISTICS LIKE THAT?
Just tell your lover that your statistical research has determined that
OVER 50% of women do it and it would be in your interest for her to play
along! Tell her to flip a coin, that way there's a 50% chance she'll
dump you and move on!
