Question:
I live in a small town in NW Illinois.I'm about an hour from
Rockford and the Quad Cities, and about 100 minutes from suburban
Chicago.
My wife and I want to get tattoos, but aren't sure how to go about
finding a shop with a good reputation.
If anyone knows my area and can direct me to a good place, I'd
appreciate it.

And beyond any list, visit shops around you and take a look at artist
albums. Find an album and its artist and then see if you can watch them
tattoo someone. Most people are proud of their tattoos and happy to
share a positive experience either during or afterwards.
