| New Wrist Tattoo Tomorrow! |
Question:
I changed my mind again partly because my previous design was too
tricky & the lines so close together that my tattooist refused to do it,
'cos however well I take care of it & however good her work is, two
lines of ink with less than a line's thickness between them could spread
enough to touch, over the years. I respect her for telling me that & not
listening to my whining , Reworking the design proved tricky, so I've
decided to give it up for a bad job & have something more in keeping
with the armband on the same arm: a realistic botanical theme, rather
than the very symmetrical stylised design I originally chose.
I'm going with another design I've been considering, one that my
anti-tattoo mother said "Oh that would look lovely!" before she could
stop herself, hehe.
Anyway, tomorrow lunchtime I'm getting a band of violets & leaves round
my wrist, life-size, seeing as my middle name is Viola . I'm a little
nervous about all those fat veins on the inside of my
wrist,
Me & my tattooist are going to work out the exact design on the day,
because she has a great talent for knowing what I want
Answer: -I've got a wrist tattoo, and I found the inside bit with the thin skin and
visible veins *slightly* more painful than the other side, but really it was
OK, and it healed a bit faster on that side. Sounds like a great design,
good luck again
-Let us know how it goes... I have been toying with the idea of adding
to the small tat on the side of my wrist, but the thin skin and big veins
on the palm side, and all the bone right under the surface worried me
enough that I have not persued it. Would love to hear how it goes!
-I have a wrist band on my right wrist and a Jack Rudy heavily black and gray
shaded tattoo on the other. I also have a tribal piece on my right arm that
goes from right above the wrist to the begining of the creases at my elbow.
The tribal hurt the most out of them all but it wasn't as bad as I thought. So
to answer your question. It hurts a bit but nothing major and they look good.
