| Questions about dragons?!?! |
Question:
i'm searching all kind of dragons because i want a new tatoo wich will be a
dragon. Anyone can help me? Or show me the exciting dragon's picture you have? An input would be appreciated!
Answer: - That's a good suggestion! There are also fantasy type magazines with nice drawings. There are
a number of books at the library that have dragons in them (doing a thorough search under
subject of dragon will bring up a good handful). Many of these are historical so they are in B&W
which will give you an idea of how they may look inked on skin. I wanted to have a dragon and
phoenix done and what I ended up doing (and I'm glad I did) was taking one of my own dragon
characters (its a bit whimsical) and having him inked.
- I have a beautiful dragon on my left arm which came from an original
drawing from the 30's. We found it in a book just called dragons.
I can find out the name of the publisher if you really want it.
- Try going to a games store that sells d&d type stuff and look for art by
larry elmore, clyde caldwell and their genre, they're probably the best
fantasy artists for the sort of thing you're looking for. If you're
after oriental dragons you can try chinese/japanese book stores
generally there'll be a few books with decent looking tatsu.
- I have a dragon tattoo and had the same problem when trying to find the
'perfect' one. What I ended up doing was going to tattoos shops and
look at the dragons they had and I found one that way. I also suggest
going to the bookstore and looking under the fantasy section and look at
the book covers since so many have dragons on them.
