            Tattoo shops/artists in Edmonton

Question:
Can anybody tell me about the good the bad and the ugly of the Edmonton tattoo shops. I am sure most are profesional and ethical but are there any shops/artists that stand above the rest.

Answer:
-I'll be the first to say that I'm not a big fan of DragonFx (Two different peircers there have fucked up two seperate peircings on me) Although there is one artist at DragonFx at West Ed that does freekin AMAZING work... I can't remember her name but she a younger girl (about 21). I've seen a showcase of her work on BME and its fantastic. Danny at Ink Machine is wicked good. Dave at Pagan Tatu is really good. You can see some of his work here: http://www.pagantatu.com/davebio.asp -Eye of The Lotus - Excellent work, outstanding results, Anastasia is awesome as an artist. As for bad shops or ugly shops - I've heard the one in West Edmonton Mall is more comcerned with doing as quick a job as possible, than quality, but that's just hearsay and rumours - so take it with a grain of salt. -I am a tattoo apprentice so I can tell you where to go and not to go Ink Machine is awesome, so is Urge, Capital, Eye Of The Lotus, Pagan Tatu, Ritualistics, Shambala My advice to you is to go around the shops, look at portfolios, talk to the artists, and you will know when you have found the right artist to do your piece for you As far as where not to go, Dragon FX is horrible (except for Scott Campbell...he is deadly), Bears Skin Art...though Bear is talented, he is a douchebag and will rip you off...Strange City is a good shop generally, but I have seen some shitty work come out of there...
