Question:
I feel a little shy when writing this....
I am looking for just a little opinion and advice about a tattoo on my
breast. I have a master plan which I took the beginning steps for by
getting my nipples pierced. Now I would like to finish the job by getting
my tattoo. I'm planning on a dragon on my breast, with his tail coming
around the bottom and curling up into my cleavage. I want his head to curve
down into my nipple so that my pierce becomes a nose ring for him.
How do tats on soft wobbly breast flesh hold up? Is it easy to be precise,
or does the softness cause some distortion? How about the movement from the
softness of breast to the hardness of ribcage for the tail? I've been
planning and imagining this design for about 6 years now, just to be sure my
mind won't change, but I want to know what to expect so that I'm not
disappointed if some lines become blurred, or something.
Answer: - Your tattoo sounds like a wonderfull idea to me. I beleieve tattoos on breasts
do hold up well, if they are done by a good tattooist.
- I have not had any tattooing done on my breasts *yet*, though it is planned
as part of the whole picture. However, my tatttoo artist and I have
discussed this. I asked him about his plans for my breasts in the whole
dragon-phoenix scheme of things with my tattoo project, and jokingly
referred to my breasts as "those pasty white things in the midst of all that
color". He said that he prefers not to do too much detailed line work on
breasts, because it invariably distorts with time.
That doesn't mean I'll have two white headlights in the profusion of color
above and below them though - he'll be putting in gray shading and other
background stuff on my breasts.
- Breast take to tattooing quite well. I would highly reccommend you do some
research into local artist. Talk to them, look at their work. You will
eventually run into someone who just seems to know exactly what you want and
you will know that this is the one. WHen you feel comfortable that he/she is on
the same level as you, strike a deal and enjoy your tattoo. If you will e-mail
me back and tell me where you live, I can point you to some good artist in your
area.
