| White Ink Tattoos |
Question:
I have a question about white ink tattoos... I saw some on a gal who pierced
me once and thought they were beautiful. They look like more scarifications
than tattoos. I asked my another friend about them though
and they said they often turn sickly shades of yellow on caucasian skin.
How do you think about it?
I am thinking of getting one... I like subtle things. (I like having
several body piercings under my clothes and no visible ones. I like having
people call me sir. I like the expression on their faces when they hear my
voice and figure out it is not that of a 'sir'.)
Answer: -Some people can take white really well, on other people it looks blotchy.
In general, all white tattoos don't look really good except on a small
minority of people. I have a small amount of white ink because it
blotches
-Nope but I saw a photo of a beaut on an arm. It was very light, obviously
but it was definitely visible. He said it really showed up well when his
skin became flush, like after a sauna or a hearty workout. As with most
colors how well it will take in your skin will vary bu don't rule it out.
You can always try a test patch which caould be easily covered or
expanded on at a later date. I plan on trying one someday.
- It's my understanding that extremely light shades of
tattooing (white and yellow) tend to fade to nothing quickly.
My hubby had some yellow in a tattoo and it faded after 2-3 years,
but his newest tattoo (about 1 year old) has yellow in it and it is
still very bright. Probably new dyes being used...
I've been contemplating (read that fantasizing) about getting a
"smoke dragon" on my calf. No color, just some very light shading.
Course, I dream until the actual thing gets done and then jazz about
it forever after...
-There's a bit in some of my knotwork, and it's seeped into the black a bit.
Does anyone out there have experience of how long it's likely to take for it
to finish moving about, so I know when to get a touch up done?
