| a question about dolphin tattoos in the tattoo newsgroup |
Question:
I posted a question about dolphin tattoos in the tattoo newsgroup and I asked
what one would mean. Someone wrote back saying that people get them on their
calf to ward away sharks. Has any here ever heard of this?Is it right?
Answer: yes, it is well-documented that sharks can recognize tiny, 2-dimensional
graphical representations of other marine life. the shark swims up to about
three feet of your leg, takes one look at that baby and skeedaddles clear out
of there. dont you ever watch "shark week" on PBS? in fact, dolphin tattoos
are so inexpensive and easy to get that the mere simplicity of this angle of
shark prevention rendered gleshnas shark scarecrow totally obsolete before he
could get his patent approved.
for gods sake, dont get a mullet or a menhadden tattooed there!
