| Opinions for tattoo artist in Dallas |
Question:
I'm looking for recommendations of tattoo artists in the Dallas area.
Any opinions, good or bad will be appreciated.
Answer: - Chris at Trilogy Tattoo in Dallas (214-559-0470) did my armband
(blackwork; phrase in Greek going all the way around). He has a
background in Graphic Arts, and is a great artist on paper as well as
skin. He's good, reasonably priced, and will work with you to give you
exactly what you want. The facilities are some of the cleanest I've seen
around. Highly recommended!
-I would recommend Pair o' Dice Tattoos on Main Street in Deep Ellum. All
of the artists there are very good, especially the owner Richard Stell.
I have gotten very quality tattoos from both Richard and Oliver there,
and also know many people with amazing art from that shop. Make sure you
look carefully while in Dallas - there is a huge glut of shops cranking
out horrible to mediocre work.
- Skin and Bones is a piercing shop, not a tattoo shop. It used to share a
building with The Tattoo Shop (where Robert Hackney worked) in Fair Park.
Skin and Bones has moved from that building in Fair Park to share a
building with Pair O' Dice Tattoos on Main Street in Deep Ellum. They are
no longer associated with The Tattoo Shop, no longer located in Fair
Park, and have never done tattoos. Pair O' Dice is the place to get
tattooed in Dallas.
