| Men's insteps: tattoos and/or body-piercing |
Question:
Have any guys gotten tattoos on their insteps
(tops of their feet) or done it themselves? I
went to a few tattoo parlors who outright refused or refused to
guarantee the results.
Basically just looking to have 2 small "+" 1
on each instep- sort of a tattoo-stigmata.
Any suggestions from men who have had
it done/would have it done?
Also considering body piercing for same area:
specifically a small "ring," open ended to which
various medals/crosses/etc. could be attached.
Consider small cross "earrings" body-pierced
to area (insteps) via a small open-ended ring
or "loop" body-piercing for attaching above...
Any ideas suggestions from men who have
done anything like that?
Answer: -Well, I'm a girl, but I know a decent amount about tattoos. The top
of the foot is hard to do for several reasons, foremost among these
that the skin is thinnish and there is a lot of activity going on in
the feet, making blowout, color loss, and other problems much more
common (and healing much harder in general). Unless you can stay off
your feet for several days, and out of real shoes for a week or more,
then it's not advisable to get feet tattooed.
-A friend of mine got a JudaKwon on the top of his foot. He said it hurt
like hell (he was sweating bullets while it happened).
I'm still not quite sure why you're insistent of men answering, but
I'll go on anyway.
The idea of a ring in the foot wouldn't work. It would reject (grow
out), plain and simple. On the off chance that a foot pierce would
work (which it probably wouldn't in any case), a surface-to-surface
barbell would have to be used. Those look like this: [ with little
balls on the ends. Surface piercings are exceptionally hard to heal
and this one especially would probably reject, due to foot activity.
Since pierces can reject even after they've healed, waiting the 6-9
months it takes to heal one before walking isn't even a good bet.
