| Cops have tattoos? |
Question:
I don't know if a cop could have a
tattoo of a naked woman on his arm. Obviously it makes no difference what
kinds of tattoos a cop has on his/her butt or on his/her chest. Could a
dept force a cop to remove a tattoo? Are there rules about cops's tattoos?
Answer: - I have 9 tattoos Marvin. I have made sure
that none show outside of the uniform and no one in my department seems to
care.
- I have a tattoo and the one place I am still interviewing with has had no
problem. You have to put it down on your background papers under
"identifying marks, scars or tattoos". (But the only people who can see mine
are my husnband and gynocologist). I could see where having a naked woman on
your arm might be a problem though. They might insist he wear long sleeve
shirts or something.
- I'll show you mine if you show me yours! Mine is a butterfly
on my chest. Marvin has seen it when he was here in fact so
he can tell you that The BikerBabe does have a tattoo
- Used to be that visible tats were OK if they weren't obscene... new
SOP states that tats can't be visible in uniform. I have three, none
of which are visible in uniform. Body piercings must be non-visible in
uniform as well.
- Large rose with dagger through it with snake wrapped around the dagger, cross with
wreath and banner for a dead brother, Harley Davidson emblem with bat wings and
very shapely woman, castle with dragon with skull in it's claws, flying ram with
bat wings being ridden by the grim reaper.
