| At last pics of back tattoo |
Question:
Finally posted a very simple page showing the before and after pics of
back tattoo....to remind those who probably don't know I had an 11
inch scar covered up with some custom work about 5/6 months ago.
I left out the final sketch used for the stencil because I don't to
make it too easy to copy....
let me know what you think.
Answer:
- My original idea was some sort of vine with some tribal mixed in....I
left it vague purposely because I wanted the artist to suggest from
his heart....I would get what I wanted and the artist would too...(I
think thats the best kind of inspiration). His final design was
intended to withstand and color problems from the scar...(He thought
that if the black didn't take in the scar the color variation would
look like part of the design). If anything the ink is darker over the
scar....it still works.

- It's beautiful! It's a little hard to tell from the earlier pictures,
but was the purple in your original piece from the start or was it
added to complement the vine?
- Thanks for posting the pics of your new tattoo/scar cover-up, Will. i
too have a large scar (approx 18 in) that i wish to have covered up
one day. did your artist suggest the tribal parts over the scar or
was that part of your original design? great tattoo of and excellent
design.
