            questions about Tattoos???

Question:
I'm pondering getting two armband tattoos in my arms. I wonder the effect it may have on the opposite sex (I'm a guy, obviously). I want to enhace my bad boy image (somehow, I am) and I am just curious whether my tattos might be chick magnets or, conversely, a major turn-off. What do you think? Any input is appreciatted.

Answer:
- Yes, this is true. Also; even if you *do* want them now are you sure you will want tattoos or big scars on your arms in 40 years time. If anything, I think most people see tattoos as de-crease in your appearnce and image. - Be careful! Like others have mentioned, only do it if you truly want to have one. DO NOT do it because of what you think it might do to the way you think girls will react to it. From my experience, women seem to be at one end or the other when it comes to their opinions about tattoos -- with very little middle ground, so while some may be impressed with them, others will be turned off. Then you also have to consider the type of girl you are looking to attract. If you are not a "bad boy" type but have these tattoos, the girls that are attracted to the bad boys, may initially like them, but when they see your a nice, shy guy, they'll blow you aside for a real bad boy. Then you may be stuck with the tattoos and a bunch of nice girls that don't like them. - I'd say go ahead and get tatoos if *you* like them, but don't get them in the hope that others will become attracted to you, as they are pretty permanent things! - You should get tatoos that are easily covered by short sleeves IMO as some employers will frown upon them methinks. - I think you should think carefully about what you are going to do. Suppose you do this and still don't get the chicks, how will you feel about your results? - I have a small tat on waist, gets covered in my uwear. Iam not that excited about tattos after i got my first small tattoo. Get those temporary tattoos on arms and see how that goes. Like others have said, get one that can get covered by short sleeve shirt. I heard getting tattoo on the under-arm part is very painful as that area is usually not exposed and is very sensitive. Most who have armbands dont have the band all the way under the arm. I saw nip ring on someone at my gym and thought hmmm it would look kool on me. One day I managed some guts, got my nip pierced. Holy crap, the piercing was freaking painful, though piercing lasted just 30sec. After 2 weeks I got tired of it, it was bothering me, so took it off, the hole is now closed and it looks like it was never pierced. - Get a tattoo cause you want one and like a particular design that migh mean something to you. Don't get one cause you think it will get chicks, cause if it don't your stuck with it. Some girls like tattoos some don't. I have been thinking of getting one too but have been putting it off, I want something firefighter related cause I am one and its a big part of my life. - Depends on the chick, doesn't it. If you want a tattoo, get one. If not, then don't. Only do it if YOU want one, don't do it because you think it might attract a woman. Some women like them, some don't mind them, some hate them. Like I have said in a previous post, it doesn't matter who you are, there is always going to be someone who likes you, and someone who doesn't. You can't do much to improve your chances with relationships. Providing you are clean and tidy, you stand every chance in meeting the right woman. Just let your mouth do the work. - Good advice. Make sure *you're* OK with the idea of getting tattooed, and with the tattoos themselves. Getting tattooed probably will make you more attractive to women; even though tats are very mainstream (and probably wouldn't hurt your career opportunities, depending on where you live), I would think they'd still give someone a hip or dangerous appearance. And if they're relatively tasteful, you won't run the risk of them turning off the more conservative chicks either. And just because I can't post without talking about myself: When I was younger I wanted to get a tattoo, somewhere where no one would see it, but I couldn't decide what kind of design I wanted. Now, years later, I have to wear long sleeves all the time anyway because of scars on my arms which I could get tattoos to cover up, but I don't think that would be worth the expense.
